Ipsy is a monthly subscription service that provides an assortment of makeup and skincare products. Each month, you’ll receive a small bag packed with treats for your hair, skin, and cosmetics. While you might love making the most of your Ipsy products, what should you do with the bags that accumulate month after month? After a few months of being subscribed, you might worry that you have too many bags. Fortunately, there are several things you can do with your Ipsy bags that will simplify your life, and keep your goodies coming.

1. Organize your purse 

Is your purse messy? Why not use your Ipsy bags to arrange the items you use on a daily basis? Use your bags to keep your makeup, money, and even your ID cards neatly organized. This will save space in your purse. This is especially handy if the bag has a theme. Organize according to a theme makes it even easier to find things in your purse. I also tuck one into my clutch, and then place what I need in the Ipsy bag. It keeps my clutch clean and I can easily swap one to the other for smaller needs.

2. Simplify traveling 

Traveling can be an overwhelming experience, but you can use your Ipsy bags to keep your carry-on and checked luggage clean and organized. You can put makeup, travel toiletries, or even your boarding passes in your miniature Ipsy bags. Get creative. Once you get into the routine of compartmentalizing your items for travel, packing will be a breeze.

3. Donate to charity

If you collect too many Ipsy bags, consider donating them. In addition to donating your bags to a women’s shelter or homeless assistance office in your area, you can also donate excess products you may have received. This is something I do on a regular basis. It helps women feel empowered, and I am all about lifting women up, and getting a head start. Particularly, or beginning a new career and cannot afford items they need to jumpstart their life.

4. Organize your makeup drawer 

Is your makeup drawer cluttered? Is it hard to find anything at home? Why not use your Ipsy bags to keep things organized and neatly arranged? Place lipstick in one bag, eye shadow in another, and lip gloss in a third…you get the drift. Your drawer will look neat and tidy and it will be easy to locate the makeup you need. You can also rotate and clean out old items, and it keeps your drawer clean from residue makeup products can leave behind.

5. Create to-go bags 

If you’re always on the move, consider creating to-go bags with your Ipsy gear. Pack a small snack, such as a protein bar, in each of your bags. You could also include a piece of gum, a packet of nuts, or even a couple of dollars to use at a vending machine. Then, when you’re running late, you can simply grab a bag to bring with you.

6. Keep your car tidy 

Does your car tend to be cluttered? You can simplify your vehicle using your Ipsy bags. Keep receipts, membership cards, and even business cards in your Ipsy bags for easy car organizing. You can even store your vehicle registration and insurance cards in your bags!

7. Design a first aid kit 

Getting hurt while you’re out isn’t fun. Having a first aid kit on hand can make a world of difference. Consider using one of your bags as a miniature first aid kit. Include bandaids,  antiseptic wipes, gloves, as well as ointments for small wounds. I also include tweezers to remove splinters, and a small tube of glue for advanced first aid.

8. Create a sewing kit 

Do you lose buttons frequently? Create a small sewing kit you can use when you’re on the move. A small bag is perfect for this, so make sure to include buttons, thread, and needles.

9. Give them to friends 

If you love Ipsy, your friends might too! You a guaranteed to get an item you do not care for in the bag. Collect a few and give them to as a gift to a friend you know will love them. Give them a goodie bag. They’re sure to thank you for it.

10. Organize your chargers 

For the tech-savvy, managing chargers can be tricky. Consider using your excess bags to keep your phone, car, and tablet chargers neatly organized. Occasionally, you will get a larger bag. I slip my I-Pad Air right into the bag for travel. Doing this protects the device from debris, and I can easily find it, and it is inconspicuous enough for sticky fingers to ignore.

When you acquire too many bags, you might feel tempted to cancel your Ipsy membership. Fortunately, with a bit of creative thinking, it’s possible to use your Ipsy bags in a variety of ways that are sure to make you happy and bring more value to your life.
