There are so many enticing websites to book your next vacation- it can be overwhelming . Home Away makes booking your next vacation a stress free experience.

So..let’s talk about Home Away

Home Away has almost every type of vacation you can imagine…you can even a private yacht! They have 2 million homes in more than 190 countries to pick from to create a perfect vacation.

There is a wide range of homes, condos, cottages, and estates that are available to rent. Set your budget, set your filters, and let explore. All you need to know is right there on your screen. The difficult part in making a choice.

Great! You found your vacation destination. Woohoo!

Now What?

The owner/s of the property listed with Home Away will want to approve your request to rent and get back to you within 24 hours. It’s not an interrogation, so no worries. The owner/s just  want to know a little bit about you, and why you are visiting their property. Personally, I like this. The owners are invested in the property, but they are also invested in you! They care, and wish nothing more than a fabulous vacation for you. Knowing a little bit about you and your fellow vacationers will help them make it happen.

With booking a down payment is required to hold the reservation-no big deal-this is worth it. Popular properties book quickly. If you find the perfect property and location, request to book…they fill up quick. I learned this the hard way.

A refundable damage deposit is also part of the fee, so keep this in mind. Experienced Traveler Hint– I have stayed in several Home Away properties. I have never had a deposit withheld…so unless you plan on taking a sledge hammer to the walls, you will get it back.

You will also have to pay an 11% hotel tax (required)

Meals and food are your responsibility.

Personal Opinion: Rental/Realestate or traditional property management companies care nothing about you, they care about their commission! Nuf Said .

Communication About Your Stay

There will be a series of messages before you arrive to provide items that are both informative and helpful. The owners are all pleasantly receptive to questions you have, and if they cannot find the answer, their assistant will help you. Communication before the trip is more than enough to prepare for your upcoming vacation.

Take advantage of your assistant. They are there to make your stay more enjoyable. You are on vacation, and they are more than happy to lend a hand. A list of what they do will e provided before your arrival.

There is even an app you can download to keep track of your reservation and any updated information about your stay.(Info on the app will be provided before your trip) *highly recommend this*

You have arrived! Yay! Depending on the rental property, a personal welcome may be waiting to escort you to the property to be sure you are situated and satisfied. You may also be introduced to your personal assistant, and get a tour of the property. Nice touch.

What you’ll find

• First and foremost, a comfortable place to unwind, relax, and destress!

• A spotless vacation destination. No matter your destination, cleanliness is king, and Home Away rentals never disappoint.

• Clean sheets and towels-plenty of them. Most properties  have a service, for this- so only the freshest and cleanest are in the property-you won’t run out. If you do-call your assistant, and presto! They will arrive at your door.

• Look for a book with information about the property and and gadgets in the home. This book is also filled with plenty of recommendations for activities and some have a little history about your destination.

• Items to use at your leisure. A BBQ grill, fishing poles, beach chairs—-whatever is suited for the accommodation.

• Let’s not forget your personal assistant. Any questions?  You need restaurant, activity, tour…they are at the ready to assist you. Most assistants are local residents and know the best sweet spots to make your time away even more enjoyable.

Do you get that at a hotel? Probably not-unless you pay the daily resort fee. -Ouch!
